Why is there a jam?

This jam has happened due to the protest of workers demanding increase in wages. The workers allege that the minimum wage in Uttar Pradesh is Rs 13,000, while in Haryana it is up to Rs 19,000. Their anger over this discrimination grew and the situation worsened after a woman laborer was injured in the dispute on Sunday. After this, on Monday, a large number of workers came out on the road, causing a traffic jam.

Teams of Delhi Police and Noida Police are deployed on the spot to handle the situation. Efforts are being made to divert the traffic, but due to heavy vehicles and crowd, it remains challenging to bring the situation under control.
