In the IPL 2026 match being played between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore, Phil Salt took the Mumbai Indians bowlers to task with his stormy batting. Especially in one over of Mitchell Santner, he hit three consecutive sixes. A total of 22 runs came in this over, due to which RCB got a great start.

In the 20th match of IPL 2026 being played at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday (April 12), Phil Salt left behind his poor form and caught everyone’s attention with his explosive batting. This England opener adopted an aggressive stance from the very beginning and put pressure on the Mumbai bowlers.

Salt was particularly hard on spinner Mitchell Santner. Santner came to bowl in the 5th over of the innings, but this over proved to be very costly for him. In this over, Salt hit three consecutive sixes on the first three balls and also hit a four. In this way, he scored 22 runs in just 4 balls, which gave great momentum to RCB.

Phil Salt did not stop here, he continued batting brilliantly. He completed his half-century in just 25 balls and played a stormy innings of 78 runs in 36 balls. During this, 6 sixes and 6 fours came from his bat. Salt also got good support from Virat Kohli and there was a big partnership of 120 runs between the two for the first wicket, which gave a strong start to the team.

Talking about the match, in this match Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya has won the toss and decided to bowl first. MI has included Mitchell Santner and Mayank Markande in place of Allah Ghazanfar and Deepak Chahar in this match. Jacob Duffy has returned in place of Josh Hazlewood in the RCB team.
