In 2023, the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Act’ was introduced in the new Parliament House and passed unanimously. “This is the result of many generations and efforts of all parties. Now is the time to implement it.” The Prime Minister said that there is a broad consensus on implementation of the Act by 2029 and a detailed discussion will be held in Parliament keeping this in mind. He expressed hope that all the parties will work together to take this historic step forward.
