New music institution will be built on Ashatai’s musical vision: CM Fadnavis

The Maharashtra government has decided to take a big step towards carrying forward the musical vision of veteran singer Asha Bhosle. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday announced that the government will take positive initiatives to set up a music institution based on the concept of Asha Bhosle.

Heartfelt tributes were paid to late Ashatai in the state cabinet meeting. During this, Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar and other cabinet ministers were also present. In the meeting, everyone remembered Asha Bhosle’s incomparable contribution to the music world and paid tribute to her.

Chief Minister Fadnavis said that Asha Bhosle had proposed the establishment of a special institute related to the music field during her lifetime. He assured that the government will take this proposal forward seriously and concrete steps will be taken to realize Ashatai’s dream.

During the cabinet meeting, Chief Secretary Rajesh Aggarwal read the condolence message on the demise of Asha Bhosle.

Earlier, Chief Minister Fadnavis had paid an emotional tribute to the singer. He wrote in X Post, “The news of the demise of veteran singer Ashatai Bhosle, who was awarded Padma Vibhushan and Maharashtra Bhushan, is extremely heartbreaking. She had celebrated her 90th birthday with great pomp just three years ago. With her demise, after Lata Didi, another star of the Mangeshkar family has fallen. That beautiful chaman of tunes has become deserted today.”

Let us tell you that the singer was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Saturday after his health deteriorated. At the same time, he died during treatment in the hospital on Sunday. The singer has received many awards for his many notable songs. The singer was honored with the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000, followed by the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
