According to him, the Iranian military is no longer a serious threat to the US, but if they attempt to interfere with the US blockade the consequences will be disastrous.
He also said that the attack would be based on the same strategy used against drug smugglers using boats at sea. This is a swift and tough action, with the help of which about 98.2% of drugs reaching America through the Pacific Ocean have been stopped.

Trump has warned in clear words that if any Iranian ship comes close to the blockade created by the US Navy or tries to disrupt it, it will be destroyed immediately without any delay. The statement comes at a tense time where the US Central Command (CENTCOM) has issued strict instructions to stop the movement of Iranian oil and cargo through the Strait of Hormuz from Monday.
