Which cars will get the hybrid option?
According to the information, Kia may introduce hybrid technology in two models Kia Carnival and Kia Sorento first. The Kia Carnival is already available in India and is popular in the premium MPV segment. The Kia Sorento SUV is expected to be launched in the Indian market soon.
When can it be launched?
Both these cars can be officially launched in India by 2030 with hybrid technology from the company. This will enable Kia to gain a strong position in the eco-friendly vehicle segment in the Indian automobile market.

Engine and Performance
According to reports, these hybrid cars may be powered by a 1.5 liter petrol-hybrid engine. Along with this, manual and automatic transmission options are likely to be available. However, there is no official information about the exact engine specifications for India yet.
Production will be done in India
Importantly, Kia plans to manufacture these hybrid cars in India. By 2030, the company has targeted sales of around 4.5 lakh units annually. Along with this, the company is also aiming to gain about 7.6 percent market share in the Indian market.
