Yogi Government Fix Wages: Yogi government fixed minimum wage for those working in industries of UP, workers created ruckus in Noida
Lucknow. Workers of Noida factories had created a ruckus on Monday against very low salaries and facilities. After this, Yogi Adityanath of UP has decided to increase the salaries of skilled and unskilled workers. Yogi government has divided the wages of workers working in UP into three categories and increased their wages by 21 percent from April 1, 2026. The UP government has said that it wants to take decisions by striking a balance between workers and industries. According to the government, the Central Government is considering the Labor Code. There may be further increase in the salaries of workers if the Labor Code is implemented.

The UP government has decided that skilled workers working in industries in Noida and Ghaziabad will now get a salary of at least Rs 16868 every month. At the same time, the salary of semi-skilled workers has been fixed at Rs 15059 and the salary of unskilled workers has been fixed at Rs 13690 every month. The UP government has said that skilled workers will be given a salary of Rs 13940.37 per month along with Rs 536.16 per day. At the same time, semi-skilled workers will get a salary of Rs 12446 and Rs 478.69 per day. An order has been issued to give Rs 435.14 per day to unskilled workers along with a salary of Rs 11313.65. Yogi government has termed as wrong the news on social media which said that Rs 20000 is the minimum salary in UP. Yogi government has said in the statement that the central government has taken steps towards fixing the minimum wage at the national level according to the new labor code. Its objective is to ensure justice and equal pay to workers in all states. Let us tell you that in many places in Noida, including Sector-62, Sector-63 and Phase-2, workers created ruckus and vandalized vehicles and set fire. After this, CM Yogi sent the Principal Secretary of Labor Department to Noida. A committee was formed to look into the workers’ issues. After which the minimum wage was fixed.
