Politics News- China threatened US, China complained about the blockade of Hormuz, ‘Don’t interfere in our affairs’,

Friends, the ongoing war in the Middle East is not showing any signs of stopping, amidst the increasing tension between America and Iran, it is affecting the whole world, while on one hand China was indirectly supporting Iran, on the other hand, the recent naval blockade by America near the Strait of Hormuz has evoked sharp reactions from Beijing. China has now openly warned Washington not to interfere in its relations with Iran and demanded immediate lifting of the blockade.

China’s strong warning to America

Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun made it clear that Beijing will not tolerate any outside interference in its bilateral relations with Iran. He said China has strong trade and energy partnerships with Iran and expects other countries to respect these ties.

Call for cease-fire and stability

Reiterating the same stance, China’s Foreign Ministry urged both sides to adhere to a strict ceasefire. According to ‘South China Morning Post’ reports, spokesperson Guo Jiaxuan stressed that maintaining peace, stability and free navigation in the region is of utmost importance to the global community.

Why is the Strait of Hormuz important for China?

Defense analysts believe that the Strait of Hormuz is a lifeline for China’s energy needs.

About 40% of China’s oil supply passes through this route.

About 30% of its LNG imports depend on this waterway.

Any disruption in this could have a serious impact on China’s industrial production and economic stability, making the situation extremely sensitive for Beijing.

Trump’s strategy behind the blockade

Donald Trump may be using this blockade as a strategic move aimed at putting pressure on Iran as well as indirectly targeting China’s economy.

Increase in US military presence

The US has significantly increased its military presence in the region:

15 warships of the US Navy have been deployed.

These include one aircraft carrier, 11 destroyers and one amphibious assault ship.
