MBA and BBA students turned out to be cyber thugs – Read
Bureau Prayagraj- Baghpat Police has exposed cyber fraud. This gang is not small but all the members of this gang are highly educated. Some are MBA and some are BBA students. Not only this, out of total 8 members of this gang, all are from good families. This gang used to commit cyber fraud through websites. This gang is accused of cyber fraud of Rs 2 lakh. The police seized mobile, laptop, pistol, car, etc. from them.
Additional Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar said that businessman Sandeep Aggarwal, resident of Bali village of Baghpat, had lodged a report of cyber fraud of Rs 2 lakh. The police was investigating this matter. On the complaint of the businessman, Baghpat police laid a trap and arrested eight members of the cyber thug gang.
According to the Additional Superintendent of Police, all the members of the arrested gang are not only well educated but are also pursuing master’s and graduation studies in business. Of these, three members are MBA students and two members are BBA students. One member is a BCA student and one member is a BSc student. One member is a high school student.
During interrogation by the police, they told that they had made an advertisement for grocery and soft drinks on a website platform. Through this, they used to trap people by luring them into buying and selling groceries and soft drinks. According to him, after grabbing money online, cyber thugs used to change their SIM and block the victim’s number. 11 mobiles, 4 laptops, 24 SIM cards, 1 tablet, 2 debit cards, 2 WiFi, two pistols, cartridges and a car were also recovered from the arrested members. Everyone is being interrogated.
