Fire wreaks havoc in Sector 37D of Gurugram, 20 huts burnt to ashes within minutes

There was chaos in Gurugram late on Tuesday night when a massive fire suddenly broke out in a slum. Within a few minutes, the fire took such a huge form that within no time many slums were affected by it. This incident put the people nearby in panic, although it is a matter of relief that there is no news of any casualty.

This incident took place in Sector 37D area, where the fire was reported after midnight. The fire spread so fast that about 20 huts were completely burnt to ashes. People living in slums were successful in coming out with their lives, but the goods kept in their houses could not be saved. Within a short time the fire engulfed the entire colony, causing huge damage.

As soon as information about the fire was received, the fire department immediately became active. More than six fire engines from fire stations of Sector 37, Bhim Nagar, Sector 29 and Udyog Vihar reached the spot. The fire brigade team worked hard and brought the fire under control. Due to their promptness, the fire was stopped from spreading to other nearby slums, thereby avoiding major damage.

The cause of the fire is not clear yet

According to local people, the reason behind the fire is not completely clear yet. In the initial investigation, it is feared that the fire may have started due to short circuit or some open burning source. However, investigation is going on to know the real reason and the concerned departments are investigating it.

Families suffered huge losses

Even though no one was injured in this accident, the affected families have suffered huge financial loss. Household items, clothes and essential items kept in the slums were completely burnt. This sudden incident has rendered many families homeless, creating new problems for them.

Major accident averted by timely control

Jaspal Gulia, leading fireman of Sector 37 fire station, said that the team controlled the fire in time, thereby avoiding a major accident. He also clarified that there is no news of any person or animal being injured in this incident, which is a matter of relief. However, due to the fire, all the belongings of the slums were destroyed.
