Flight changed, Iranian delegation returned by train-bus: After talks, claim of attack conspiracy created stir

Islamabad. The Iranian delegation returning to Tehran faced serious security threats after peace talks with the US ended inconclusively. Iranian political analyst Mohammad Marandi, speaking to Lebanese media outlet Al-Mayadeen, claimed that the situation was so sensitive that the delegation had to change its travel route during its return.

According to Marandi, senior officials, including Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Baker Ghalibaf, were part of the team that arrived in Islamabad for talks with the US. Due to fear of security threat during return after the talks, the team changed its plane midway.

He said that taking precautionary measures, the delegation not only changed the air route but also took the help of bus and train for some parts of the journey and finally reached Tehran.

Marandi also claimed that he had received a threat of a possible attack while on his way to Islamabad, after which the entire trip was conducted in a very confidential and secure manner. He said that Iran does not trust the American side and is also strengthening its military preparations in view of any future conflict.

Result of talks and further situation-
The US and Iran peace talks in Islamabad ended without any concrete agreement. However, there is a possibility of further talks between the two countries. According to reports, the next round of talks may be held again in Islamabad soon, although this has not been officially confirmed.

Experts believe that regional tension and diplomatic uncertainty still remain after these talks, and the situation will largely depend on the stance of both the countries in the coming days.
