Price of petroleum products increased in Nepal, diesel and kerosene became costlier by Rs 30 per liter.
Kathmandu. Nepal Oil Corporation has once again increased the prices of petroleum products today. According to the new price list, the price of diesel and kerosene has been increased by Rs 30 per litre, while aviation fuel has increased by Rs 5 per litre. According to the revised rates, the price of diesel and kerosene oil has become Rs 237 per liter and the price of jet fuel has become Rs 256 per liter.
The corporation says that it is still incurring huge losses when calculated on the basis of increase in prices in the international market and the new price list sent by the Indian Oil Corporation. Due to higher cost price and lower selling price, even after price adjustment, there is a loss of Rs 2 32 paise per liter on petrol, Rs 87 99 paise on diesel, Rs 36 70 paise on kerosene and Rs 331 25 paise per cylinder on cooking LP gas. According to the release of the corporation, a total loss of about Rs 7 billion 81 crore 61 lakh is being incurred on fortnightly basis.
