He clearly stated that the government will not accept any proposal of reservation for Muslims, as it is against the constitution itself. Akhilesh Yadav replied, “How is my statement unconstitutional? Shouldn’t Muslim women be considered women?” Amit Shah said, “We have no objection. If the Samajwadi Party wants, they can give all the tickets to Muslim women.” Akhilesh Yadav also questioned the haste. “Let the 2026 census take place and let the caste information be available, then a decision will be taken,” he said.

Akhilesh Yadav said that there is no caste in the new census. At this time Amit Shah stood up and said, “If the Samajwadi Party can do it, they should also determine the caste of the houses.” The home minister said, “Houses are being counted now. How can there be a caste factor in it?” But if it is Samajwadi Party’s way, they should also determine the caste of the houses. “When the population is counted, there will be a caste ratio,” he said.

Akhilesh said, “This bill is being passed in haste to cheat OBCs.” Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav said, “This bill is being passed in haste, so that when the caste statistics are available in the new census, people will demand reservation. This bill is being passed in haste only to avoid that reservation.” He asked, “What is the population of OBCs and Dalits?” When the figures are released, people will demand reservation accordingly. Meanwhile, another senior SP MP, Dharmendra Yadav, also questioned why there is silence on the issue of OBC and Muslim women.
