IMD issued alert, warning of thunderstorm and rain in these 13 states

During this period, the wind speed can reach 70 to 80 kilometers per hour, due to which normal life is likely to be affected. According to the Meteorological Department, this change is being seen due to the activation of western disturbances and various cyclonic circulation systems.
Alert in which states?
According to the latest forecast of IMD, the weather may remain bad in many states of the country on April 16 and 17.
States on alert on April 16: Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura.
States under alert on April 17: Uttarakhand and Punjab. Along with heavy rain, there has also been a warning of thunderstorm and lightning in these states.
Special vigilance in hilly states
The weather is expected to be more severe in hilly states like Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Here, problems like landslides and road blockage due to rain along with strong winds can also arise. Tourists and locals have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel.
Impact on Northeast and Eastern India
There is also a possibility of heavy rain and thunderstorm in the states of North-East India like Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Tripura. At the same time, the weather may worsen in West Bengal and Sikkim with thunderstorms.
Weather condition in North India
At present, the effect of heat will continue in Delhi-NCR, but there is a possibility of cloudy sky and light rain in the coming days. Dusty winds can also trouble people. At present there is no major rain alert in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, but the heat has intensified due to the increase in temperature. Heat wave-like conditions may occur in many districts.
Changes in South and Central India also
The weather is also likely to remain unstable due to cyclonic circulation over Madhya Pradesh, parts of Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. There may be light to moderate rain at some places.
