Foreign patients turn to Vietnam for dental implants amid rising global costs

For international patients, particularly those on limited travel schedules, cost is only one consideration. Factors such as clinical expertise, treatment reliability and the ability to complete procedures within a defined timeframe also play a critical role.

In many developed countries, high treatment dental implants cost can delay care, increasing the risk of complications such as bone loss and affecting daily functions including eating and speaking. As a result, patients traveling overseas often prioritize not only affordability but also clear treatment plans and predictable outcomes.

Vietnam has strengthened its position in dental tourism by adopting technologies that help shorten treatment time while maintaining clinical standards. However, not all providers are equipped to meet the expectations of international patients, who often have concerns about quality and scheduling.

Platinum Dental Group operates an integrated system that includes CT scanners, 3D digital imaging and treatment planning software, allowing procedures to be carried out in a single location. This approach reduces the need for patients to move between facilities, helping save time and simplify the treatment process.

The clinic states that treatment plans and cost breakdowns are provided in advance to support transparency. Its medical team is led by Dr. Duong Minh Tung, who specializes in dental implants and handles complex cases such as long-term tooth loss and bone deficiency.

To accommodate international patients, treatment timelines are structured around travel schedules. For example, a full set of 20 porcelain veneers can typically be completed within three to five days. Dental implant procedures are divided into two phases: an initial placement stage, usually completed over two appointments, followed by a second phase after four to six months, requiring additional visits once the implant stabilizes.

This phased approach allows patients to better plan travel and follow-up care.

The clinic also offers a private treatment environment, one-on-one consultation, English-speaking staff and remote consultation options to support patients before arrival.

While cost advantages continue to attract international patients to Vietnam, factors such as clinical standards, technology and transparency remain central to decision-making. Platinum Dental Group says its model is designed to provide a structured and predictable treatment experience.

The clinic provides dental consultation and treatment services only and does not offer travel-related services such as accommodation or flight bookings
