3 year old child’s life was taken due to broken tea cup, now life imprisonment

A court in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, has sentenced a person guilty of murder of a 3-year-old child to life imprisonment. In this murder case that took place in 2017, the sister of the child who lost his life has testified. The 44-year-old man found guilty had killed the child just because a tea cup was broken. After the murder, this same person buried the child’s body in a pit. Later, on the complaint of the child’s mother, the matter reached the police and the whole thing came to light during the investigation.

This matter is of the year 2017. A man named Nitani Pathare met the woman and her children in a train. The woman was going to Nashik with her two children. Her husband had left her and she was facing financial crunch. Then Nitin Pathare offered his help. The woman accepted the proposal. A few days later, when the woman reached Mumbai to meet the lawyer recommended by Nitin, Nitin Pathare also met her in Ghatkopar and took her to his home.

According to the woman, Nitin Pathare had promised that he would get her some work. The woman claims that Nitin had imprisoned her and her children and threatened to kill them. On September 27, 2017, Nitin told the woman to go to Thane and find work for herself. In the afternoon Nitin called and informed that his son had an epileptic attack. When she returned, Nitin told her that he had killed the woman’s son.

In her statement given in the court, the woman has said that her son was hurt and Nitin had threatened her five-year-old daughter that if she saved anything, he would kill her too. Later the same daughter told that her brother had accidentally broken the tea cup. Angered by this, Nitin Pathare hit the 3 year old boy with a belt, strangulated him and threw him on the floor. The court has accepted that Nitin had carried out such an attack with the intention of killing her.
