“China has guaranteed not to send weapons to Iran”, statement of US War Secretary Pete Hegseth…

US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth recently made an important statement, in which he said that China has assured the United States that it will not send any weapons to Iran. This statement came at a time when reports of China supplying new air defense systems to Iran came to the fore, increasing regional tensions.

Let us tell you, during a Pentagon briefing, Hegseth described diplomatic talks between American and Chinese officials as key to resolving this matter. He said that President Donald Trump resolved the issue through personal communication with Chinese President Xi Jinping. According to Hegseth, in a direct conversation between Trump and Jinping, China promised not to send any weapons to Iran.

“President Trump has a strong and direct relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping. They’ve talked about this matter, and China has assured us that this is not going to happen,” Hegseth said.

According to a report, top Pentagon officials recently discussed some intelligence reports which claimed that China was going to supply air defense systems to Iran in the next few weeks. After this revelation, the White House had to directly intervene in this matter.

In this regard, President Trump said that he had sought a written guarantee from the Chinese leadership that it would not send any weapons to Iran. “I wrote them a letter and told them not to do it, and they responded to me saying they weren’t doing it,” Trump said.

This diplomatic breakthrough will play a key role in high-level talks in the coming months, as Trump plans to meet Xi Jinping in Beijing, where the two leaders will discuss bilateral relations and regional security issues.
