Kangana Ranaut applauds R. Madhavan’s ‘Dhurandhar’ role amid massive success
Kangana Ranaut recently suggested a possible project from R Madhavan’s character in Dhurandhar while hailing the newly released sequel of the franchise.
The 40-year-old actress, who worked alongside R Madhavan in Tanu Weds Manu, believed that a separate biopic should be made on Ajit Doval’s character.
In an exclusive conversation with YEARSthe Queen star said, “Madhavan was terrific in the film. I have met Ajit Doval ji and he has got a huge personality. I think there should be an entirely separate film on Ajit Doval. Only then an actor would be able to do justice to his character. But Madhavan was very close. He is a very good actor.”
Later in the interview, the Krishna 3 actress couldn’t resist herself from praising Dhurandhar following the release of the Dhurandhar The Revenge.
“The film industry, in a way, was becoming disconnected from the country. Audience participation had declined, studios were depleting, and people didn’t want to watch these films anymore.
“South Indian films received a greater entry and much recognition, especially because of their culture-focused content and regionally relevant stories, she added. The country has identified such films. You can see how the film has done an amazing business as people wanted to see their own stories. Dhurandhar has revived the film industry and gave a new hope.”
This comes on the heels of Aditya Dhar’s series receiving widespread success following the release of Dhurandhar The Revenge on Thursday, March 19.
For the unversed, Ranaut and Madhavan collaborated on Tanu Weds Manu as well as Tanu Weds Manu Returns.
