From Bhool Bhulaiya to Bhoot Bungalow, same mansion, same mystery, know the story of 350 year old palace.
New Delhi . The magic of horror comedy in Bollywood has once again returned on the big screen and this time too the pair of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are at the centre. His new film Bhoot Bangla is in the news with its release, but what has attracted the attention of the audience more than the story of the film is its mysterious mansion which has a history in itself.
This is the same grand and creepy mansion that the audience has seen earlier in Bhool Bhulaiyaa. In that film also, this location gave a different dimension to the story. Now after almost two decades, the makers have tried to refresh the old memories by shooting again at the same place. This is the reason why this film is constantly being compared to Bhool Bhulaiyaa among the audience.
This historical building located near Jaipur is actually known as Chomu Palace. The construction of this 350-year-old mansion began in the 16th century and many changes were made to it over time. It was once the residence of the royal family where courts and grand ceremonies were held. Its spacious streets, high ceilings and intricate architecture make it mysterious and cinematic.
The mansion was renovated in the 20th century and later converted into a heritage hotel. Even today its original structure and royal grandeur are intact, which attracts film makers a lot. This is the reason why many Bollywood films have been shot here and every time this location adds life to the story.
For Akshay Kumar, this mansion is not only a shooting location but is also considered a lucky charm. After the huge success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa, now an attempt has been made to repeat the same magic through Bhoot Bangla. The film is a mix of horror and comedy in which glimpses of old actors can also be seen.
The initial earnings of the film have also been decent and it has performed well at the box office in two days of its release. Now the eyes are fixed on its first weekend where it will be decided how much place the film is able to make in the hearts of the audience.
Overall, Bhoot Bangla is not just a film but also a journey through memories and history where the 350 year old haveli is once again ready to scare and entertain the audience with its mysterious story.
