IPL 2026: Abhishek Sharma’s fifty, Sunrisers Hyderabad set the target of 194 runs for Chennai

Hyderabad. On the strength of the explosive batting of Abhishek Sharma (59) and Heinrich Klaasen (59), Sunrisers Hyderabad scored a huge score of 194 runs for nine wickets against Chennai Super Kings in the 27th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Saturday. Today here Chennai Super Kings won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Coming to bat, the opening pair of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head gave a good start to their team by adding 75 runs for the first wicket for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In the sixth over, Mukesh Chaudhary gave the first success to Chennai Super Kings by dismissing Travis Head.

Travis Head scored 23 runs in 20 balls, hitting three fours and a six. In the same over, Chaudhary sent captain Ishan Kishan to the pavilion without opening the account. Aniket Verma (two) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (12) were out after scoring runs. Hyderabad’s sixth wicket fell in the form of Heinrich Klaasen in the 18th over. Heinrich Klaasen played an innings of 59 runs in 39 balls, hitting six fours and two sixes.

Shivang Kumar was out after scoring 12 runs in eight balls. In the same over, Liam Livingston was caught out while trying to play a big shot on the last ball of the innings. Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 194 runs for nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Anshul Kamboj and Jamie Overton took three wickets each for Chennai Super Kings. Mukesh Chaudhary got two wickets. Gurjapneet Singh dismissed one batsman.
