Big change in Godrej Group! Nadir Godrej leaves the chair, now Pirojsha Godrej will take command of the group
Godrej Industries Group: Godrej Industries Group announces leadership change. Under this, Pirojsha Godrej will take over as chairman of the group from Nadir Godrej in August this year. Nadir Godrej will take over as honorary chairman as part of planned generational succession, the company said in a statement. Other changes have also been made at the leadership level in the group.

The statement said Nadir will retire after turning 75 in August 2026.
Pirojsha Godrej selected for the post of chairperson
He will step down from the boards of Godrej Industries, Godrej Agrovet, Godrej Consumer Products and Godrej Properties at that time. He has stepped down as chairperson and non-executive director of Astec Lifesciences with effect from Monday. Nadir, who has served the group for many decades, said that I am confident that under the leadership of the next generation, the group will continue to progress while remaining firm on its values. Pirojsha Godrej, son of Nadir’s elder brother Adi and Parmeshwar Godrej, has been nominated for the post of chairperson.
He will take over as the chairperson of Godrej Industries Group (GIG) and Godrej Industries from August 14. The statement said he will remain the chairperson of Godrej Properties, Godrej Capital and Godrej Ventures. Apart from this, the statement said that Nadir’s son Burjis Godrej will take over as the chairperson of Godrej Agrovet and will join the board of directors of Godrej Industries as a non-executive director from August 14.

Burgis has resigned as Managing Director of Astec Lifesciences with immediate effect and will continue to serve as a Non-Executive Director on its Board of Directors. Burgis said our focus will be on building a stronger Godrej Agrovet, which will further improve execution across all our businesses while driving sustainable growth.

When demonetization was announced in 2016, Godrej Properties sold flats worth more than Rs 300 crore in a single day, which was a huge achievement at that time.
