Vikram Bhatt vs Imtiaz Ali: Release date of ‘Haunted 3D’ finalized, there will be a big clash at the box office

The sequel to his cult film Haunted 3D, Haunted 3D: Ghosts of the Past is now finally ready for release. After a long wait and several postponements, the new release date of the film has been revealed.

Got new date after repeated postponements

The film was initially scheduled to release on 21 November 2025, but was later postponed to 30 January and then to 6 February. After being postponed three times in a row, the makers have now locked the final date. According to reports, this horror film will now hit the theaters on June 12, 2026.

Interestingly, Haunted 3D: Ghosts of the Past will have a direct competition with Imtiaz Ali’s film Main Wapas Aaunga, which is releasing on the same day. Powerful actors like Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari Wagh, Vedang Raina and Naseeruddin Shah will be seen in this film. In such a situation, there can be a tough competition between the two films at the box office.

Starcast and 3D flavor

Mimoh Chakraborty will once again be seen in the film, who was also a part of the first film. This time Chetna Pande will be seen in the lead role with him. The special thing is that like the first film, this sequel will also be released in 3D format, which will make the horror experience more intense.

Reshoot decided after teaser

The teaser of the film was released in September, but it did not get much response from the audience. Taking the feedback seriously, Vikram Bhatt decided to re-shoot some parts of the film. For this, reshoots were done for about 12 days, so that the film could be improved.
