“TMC didn’t want more women MPs…; PM Modi accused of betrayal over women’s reservation

Political News : West Bengal : Women reservation introduced by Modi government (Women Reservation Bill) and the Constituency Reconstruction Bill has been rejected. This has given a big shock to the Modi government. Through this bill, 33 percent reservation was to be given to women. But as this was rejected, BJP has taken an aggressive stance against Congress. Meanwhile, in a campaign rally in West Bengal, Modi (PM Narendra Modi) India has set its sights on the lead. Prime Minister Modi has criticized that the bill was rejected because the Trinamool Congress did not want women MPs.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a campaign meeting at Bishnupur in West Bengal’s Bankura district. This time he targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her party. During the meeting, Prime Minister Modi said, “Each meeting is getting bigger than the last one. I am told that people are sitting for 2-3 hours. This atmosphere, this love, this enthusiasm, this yearning, this movement is a symbol of anger against this brutal government.”

Bengal’s daughter challenges ‘Maha Jungleraj’

PM Modi further said, “Women of Bengal wanted 33% reservation. I ensured it. Women of Bengal wanted it to be implemented by 2029. I tried for it. But TMC did not want girls from Bengal to become MLAs and MPs, because the girls of Bengal were challenging their ‘Maha Jungleraj’. So, TMC colluded with Congress and did not allow the 33% reservation law to be passed.” Targeted at Trinamul Congress.
