IPL 2026: Big upset in the points table due to Punjab Kings’ resounding win over Lucknow Super Giants.
Delhi: Punjab Kings (PBKS) registered their fifth win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 by defeating Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 54 runs in the match played on Sunday. With this victory, the team has further strengthened its top position in the points table.

Punjab Kings’ dominance continues
So far, with five wins in six matches, Punjab Kings have a total of 11 points and remain at the first position in the table. The team has consistently performed well this season and has taken the lead over all other teams.
Lucknow Super Giants’ position is weak
Lucknow Super Giants have suffered a big blow with this defeat. The team has so far achieved only two wins in six matches and has faced defeat in four matches. With four points the team has slipped to eighth place in the points table.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are in second place with eight points from six matches. At the same time, Rajasthan Royals are in third place with eight points, however, they recently lost against Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets. With this win, Kolkata Knight Riders got their first win, but the team is still in ninth place with three points.
Sunrisers Hyderabad has so far registered three wins in six matches and secured fourth position with six points. Delhi Capitals also remains at fifth position with three wins. Gujarat Titans are in sixth place with the same number of points.
