BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala said – Congress has a history of attacking the Prime Minister, it repeatedly insults the constitutional post.

New Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla accused Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of repeatedly targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that after the Women’s Reservation Amendment Bill was not passed in the Lok Sabha, the Congress is insulting the constitutional positions. Poonawala said that Congress has a history of attacking the Prime Minister. He said that Congress has abused the Prime Minister 150 times. After defeating women’s reservation in Parliament, Revanth Reddy now repeatedly does such actions which have insulted Sanatan Dharma. He said that Congress means Muslims and now they are abusing the Prime Minister because the Prime Minister is standing with women. This shows that Congress does not respect any constitutional post. All this happened when the Constitution (One Hundred and Thirty-First Amendment) Bill failed to garner a two-thirds majority in the Lok Sabha.

Telangana Chief Minister claimed that the opposition helped defeat the bill which was brought to destroy the country. He alleged that the BJP used women’s reservation only as an excuse to increase the number of Lok Sabha seats and achieve two-thirds majority. Reddy said that the intentions of BJP were not clear. These bills were introduced as a facade to increase the number of seats. There was no need to bring another bill to implement women’s reservation. He further alleged that the purpose of linking this bill with delimitation (distribution of seats) was to increase the number of seats to about 850, so that the ruling party could get the required number to make changes in the constitutional provisions. Reddy argued that women’s reservation could be implemented within the existing 543 Lok Sabha seats without any new delimitation. He said that bring a new bill for women’s reservation on Monday. We will support him, this entire process can be completed within six months. He also said that if this law is brought without any ulterior motive, then INDIA alliance is ready to fully support it.
