NSA Ajit Doval held high-level talks in Riyadh, emphasis was on bilateral relations and regional security.
New Delhi/Riyadh, 20 April. India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval visited Riyadh on Sunday on an official visit. He held several high-level meetings with senior leaders of Saudi Arabia to strengthen bilateral ties, expand energy cooperation and discuss specific developments in the region. This visit of NSA Doval reflects the growing strategic partnership between India and Saudi Arabia amid the changing geopolitical situation. The Indian Embassy in Riyadh said in a statement that a wide range of issues were discussed in the talks, including mutual cooperation, regional security concerns and matters of mutual benefit.
NSA Doval met senior leaders of Saudi Arabia, including Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and National Security Advisor Musaad al-Aiban. The Indian Embassy in Riyadh also shared information related to this visit on the social media platform During the meetings they discussed bilateral relations, regional situation and other issues of mutual interest.”
This visit is taking place amid India’s active diplomatic talks on global security matters. A few days earlier, on April 17, Doval had held a long conversation with Rustam Umarov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine. In this meeting, emphasis was laid on the ongoing strategic dialogue between New Delhi and Kiev during the ongoing conflict in Eastern Europe. According to Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, the focus in the talks with Ukraine was on the relations between the two countries and the Russia-Ukraine dispute. India reiterated its consistent position advocating a peaceful solution through dialogue and diplomacy. All these interactions reflect India’s proactive diplomatic approach, which helps in addressing regional and global security challenges and strengthening relations with key international partners.
