Energy price today, April 20: Crude oil jumps 4.68% to 87.77 while Gasoline surges 80.32% YTD

Energy markets are seeing a sharp bounce today. Prices are rising after recent drops. Short term recovery is visible across oil and fuel.

Crude oil is trading at 87.77 USD per barrel. It gained 4.68% today. Weekly trend is still weak with a fall of 11.34%. But yearly growth remains strong at 52.98% and 40.75%.

Brent crude is at 94.12 USD per barrel. It rose 4.15% today. Monthly decline is 6.00%. Yet it has gained 54.38% this year and 41.78% yearly.

Crude oil and gasoline prices rise 4.68% and 80.32% YTD showing strong demand

Gasoline is priced at 3.09 USD per gallon. It jumped 2.86% today. Monthly growth is 3.70%. Gasoline has surged 80.32% this year and 48.17% yearly.

Heating oil is at 3.52 USD per gallon. It gained 3.76% today. Even after a monthly fall of 13.10%, it is up 66.15% this year and 65.89% yearly.

Urals oil stands at 102.67 USD per barrel. It dropped 10.45% today. But it still shows massive growth of 103.55% this year and 68.04% yearly.

LNG drops 25.65% monthly while global gas prices fall over 29%

Natural gas is trading at 2.69 USD per MMBtu. It gained 0.66% today. Weekly growth is 2.45%. But it is down 26.99% this year and 10.77% yearly.

TTF gas is priced at 39.62 EUR per MWh. It rose 2.18% today. But monthly loss is heavy at 29.53%.

UK gas is at 99.55 GBp per therm. It gained 2.52% today. Monthly decline stands at 29.76%.

German gas is at 40.50 EUR per MWh. It fell 7.30% today. Monthly drop is 26.86%.

LNG JKM is priced at 15.00 USD per MMBtu. It fell 7.01% today. Weekly loss is 22.76%. Monthly decline is 25.65%. Still, it is up 56.17% this year and 24.12% yearly.

Naphtha rises 79.05% YTD while uranium gains 32.80% and coal stays steady

Naphtha is at 874.44 USD per ton. It fell 4.48% today. But it has surged 79.05% this year and 60.30% yearly.

Coal is priced at 132.30 USD per ton. It slipped 0.94% today. Yet it is up 23.07% this year and 39.19% yearly.

Uranium is trading at 86.65 USD per pound. It gained 0.41% today. It has risen 6.12% this year and 32.80% yearly.

Methanol is at 3122 CNY per ton. It fell 1.61% today. Monthly decline is 5.77%. But it is still up 42.56% this year and 32.68% yearly.

Propane is priced at 0.78 USD per gallon. It dropped 2.02% today. It has gained 22.98% this year.

Overall, energy markets are showing a short term recovery in oil and fuels. Gas markets remain under pressure with sharp monthly declines. Long term gains still remain strong across most energy commodities.
