chances of a good harvest
The area under wheat cultivation in Rabi 2026 season has increased to about 334.17 lakh hectares, which was 328.04 lakh hectares last year. This increase reflects farmers’ confidence, which is supported by the minimum support price (MSP) and strong procurement system. Due to this, there is also a possibility of a good crop this year.
Farmers’ income will increase
Approval of export of additional 25 LMT of wheat will increase liquidity in the market, better management of storage and farmers will be saved from being forced to sell at cheaper prices at the time of harvest. This will also help in keeping domestic prices stable and increasing the income of farmers, and the food security of the country will remain completely secure.
