After a day’s stability, the prices of both 24-carat and 22-carat gold have fallen by Rs 10 per 10 grams in the capital Delhi today. Last day, gold prices remained stable.
A day before that, especially on April 19, the price of 24-carat gold had increased by Rs 810 per 10 grams, while the price of 22-carat gold had increased by Rs 750. As far as silver is concerned, after one day’s stability it has become cheaper in Delhi today, and its price has fallen by Rs 100 per kg.
Silver falls after one day’s stability
Talking about silver, after remaining stable for a day, weakness has been seen in this metal today. Earlier, on April 17, the price of one kg silver had fallen by Rs 5,000; However, on April 18, there was a huge increase of 10,000.
After this, prices remained stable on Akshaya Tritiya on 19 April. However, today silver has become cheaper by ₹ 100 per kg in Delhi. Currently it is being sold at Rs 2,74,900. In other major metros, Mumbai and Kolkata also, silver is being sold at the same price. Whereas in Chennai, the price of one kilogram of silver is Rs 2,79,900, making it the most expensive among the four major metros.
What will be the future of gold and silver prices?
Amid rising tensions in West Asia and economic data released from major economies of the world, it remains to be seen whether the bullish phase in the market will continue or a phase of softening in prices is going to come. During the week beginning April 20, traders will be keeping a particularly close eye on crude oil prices and key economic indicators from the United States.
These indicators include retail sales, housing data and consumer sentiment. Additionally, Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) data for both manufacturing and service sectors in the US and UK is expected to play an important role in determining the future direction of the market.
