Hyderabad: Filmmaker Mahi V Raghav, known for Anando Brahma and Save The Tigers, is set to return with a new comedy horror titled Om Shanthi Disco Shanthi, promising a quirky twist to the genre.
Positioned as an “outrageous confusion comic adventure”, the film explores an unusual premise where ghosts find themselves facing an unexpected challenge, people who do not understand fear. The narrative unfolds in a setting where the supernatural collides with eccentric characters, creating a mix of chaos, humour and suspense.
The makers describe the film as a clash between “ghosts and the mad”, raising the question of whether the spirits will succeed in haunting their targets or end up being outwitted. With its blend of jump scares, witty conversations and unpredictable twists, the film aims to offer a fresh take on the comedy horror space.
Scheduled for a theatrical release in September, Om Shanthi Disco Shanthi promises a mix of spooky moments and humour-driven storytelling.
The film is produced under the banner of Three Autumn Leaves by Siva Meka and Sahiti Chintalapudi. Mahi V Raghav has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues, while Gogu RR is directing the project.
The technical team includes Krishna Kumar as music composer, Gnana Shekar VS as director of photography and Shravan Kathikaneni as editor. Sound design is by K C Sidharthan, with Mohan Thummala serving as PRO.
