A survey of about 40 lakh women has been completed, in which it has come to light that about 70 percent of the women have successfully started their employment.

Preparation for second installment of Rs 20 thousand

According to the government scheme, women whose employment is doing well will soon be given the second installment of Rs 20,000 each. The beneficiary will also have to make some contribution in this installment. The administration says that this process will proceed in a phased manner on the basis of the survey report.

Assistance amount is being given in five phases

This scheme is not just a one-time help, but has been implemented in five phases. After the first installment, there is a provision of assistance up to Rs 20 thousand, 40 thousand and 80 thousand respectively in the second, third and fourth installments. In these phases, the beneficiaries will also have to make partial contribution from their own behalf. In the last i.e. fifth installment, Rs 60 thousand will be given without any contribution.

Women’s employment increased from village to city

The survey has also revealed that women are increasingly becoming self-reliant. A large number of women are joining small businesses like animal husbandry, fruit-vegetable shops, grocery business, tailoring-embroidery, beauty parlors and tea-pakoda shops. This is also strengthening the rural economy.
