Even after a year, the wounds are still there, the country still has not forgotten… Army’s strong message to Pakistan before the anniversary of Pahalgam attack
Just before the first anniversary of the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the same pain and memories have once again become fresh in the entire country. That date of 22 April 2025 is still recorded like a wound in the hearts of people. That day, instead of happiness, screams were echoing in the beautiful valleys of Kashmir. Everything changed in an instant, when the terrorists opened fire on innocent people and destroyed 26 lives. This incident became not just an attack, but an accident that shook the soul of the country.
A day before the death anniversary, the Indian Army has given a strong message. The Indian Army said in its official statement that when the limits of humanity are crossed, the response is equally strict. The Army made it clear that India neither forgets nor forgives. It was also said that justice has been done and the entire country is united.
When boundaries of humanity are crossed, the response is decisive.

That dreadful day in Baisarn Valley
Baisaran Valley of Pahalgam, which people know as ‘Mini Switzerland’, was filled with blood and gunpowder that day. There was an atmosphere of chaos and fear everywhere. The terrorists suddenly started firing indiscriminately targeting the tourists. Bullets were fired without any discrimination, due to which many innocent people came under it. 26 people died in this attack and many families were scattered forever. This incident was so horrifying that whoever heard about it was shaken to the core.
Operation Sindoor: India’s answer
India did not maintain silence after this painful attack. Within a few days, the army gave a befitting reply to the terrorists through ‘Operation Sindoor’. On May 6 and 7, the Indian Army took precise action against terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK. The purpose of this operation was to target the organizations which were behind this attack.
During this period, about nine major terrorist launchpads were destroyed. The bases of organizations like Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen were targeted. According to the report, more than 100 terrorists were killed in this action. This was a strong and clear message from India that such attacks will definitely be responded to.
Four days of tension and then ceasefire
After this operation, tension remained between India and Pakistan for about four days. The situation had become quite serious from both sides. Seeing the situation, DGMO of Pakistan contacted DGMO of India and appealed for ceasefire. After this, on May 10, ceasefire was agreed upon between the two countries and the situation gradually started becoming normal.
It has been a year since the Pahalgam attack, but the memories of that day are still fresh in the hearts of the people. For the families who lost their loved ones, this pain can never end. This anniversary is not just a date, but a day to remember those 26 lives which became victims of unnecessary violence.
