Now bike will not slip, avoid accidents with ABS technology, know which system is right for you

Anti Lock Braking System: In today’s time, riding a bike at high speed and amidst heavy traffic has become risky. In such a situation, people’s awareness regarding security has also increased rapidly. This is the reason why now almost every new bike has anti lock braking system i.e. ABS being given. This technology is specifically designed to keep the rider safe in case of sudden braking.

What is ABS and why is it important?

ABS is an advanced braking system, which prevents the wheels of the bike from locking. When a rider applies the brakes suddenly at high speed, the tires often lose grip and the wheels lock up. This increases the risk of the bike slipping. ABS is the solution to this problem, which keeps the bike balanced during braking.

How does this system work?

ABS technology works with the help of sensors and electronic control unit (ECU). Sensors installed in the wheels of the bike continuously monitor their speed. As soon as the system senses that the wheel is about to lock, it immediately controls the brake pressure, sometimes reducing and sometimes increasing. Due to this process the bike does not slip and the rider remains in control.

Types of ABS: Single and Dual Channel

Single Channel ABS:

This system works only on the front wheel. Since a major part of the braking of the bike is done by the front brake, it is considered sufficient for basic safety.

Dual Channel ABS:

This system works on both front and rear wheels. It is considered more advanced and safe, because it provides better control on both the wheels.

What is the difference between the two?

While single channel ABS provides general safety, dual channel ABS is a better and more reliable option. In dual system, the rider can use both the brakes properly, due to which the bike stops quickly and balance is also maintained. Bikes with dual channel ABS are considered safer for daily riding in the city.

Major benefits of dual channel ABS

The wheels do not lock even when brakes are applied suddenly, which reduces the risk of an accident.

  • The bike can be stopped in short distance.
  • Better control is available even on slippery roads.
  • The system adjusts the pressure repeatedly during braking, due to which the bike does not slip.

Your safety is in your hands

If you are thinking of buying a new bike, ignoring ABS can prove costly. Especially dual channel ABS can make your journey more safe and reliable.
