Yusuf Pathan’s Relative Arrested: Police arrested Yusuf Pathan’s father-in-law, brother-in-law and another relative, the case is related to assault.

New Delhi. Former cricketer and TMC MP Yusuf Pathan’s father-in-law Khalid Pathan, brother-in-law Shoaib Pathan and another relative have been arrested by Mumbai Police. In Mumbai’s Byculla area, a person had filed a report against him accusing him of assault, in this case action has been taken against the relatives of Yusuf Pathan. According to the victim, he was beaten with bamboo sticks and baseball bats over trivial matters. On the basis of CCTV footage, the police have clearly identified the accused and arrested them.

According to the victim Yusuf Khan, he was going somewhere in his car, when the wheel of his car fell into a water-filled pit on the road, water splashed on Yusuf Pathan’s brother-in-law Shoaib Pathan. Due to this issue, Shoaib started fighting with Yusuf Khan. Not only this, when the victim was going to lodge a complaint with the police, he was stopped on the way and beaten brutally. Yusuf Pathan’s father-in-law Khalid Pathan, brother-in-law Shoaib Pathan and other relatives were among those beaten. This entire incident was captured in a CCTV installed there. The police have arrested the accused after examining the CCTV. While one accused is still absconding and the police is searching for him.

The bamboo sticks and baseball bat used in the fight have also been recovered. This incident took place on 18 April 2026 at around 9 pm in Mazgaon near Heerabai Compound. Based on the complaint of the victim, the police had registered an FIR against the accused under sections 118(2), 115(2), 324, 352, 351(2) and 3(5) of BNS2023. The victim has stated in his complaint that the accused had also threatened to kill him during the assault. The police are currently investigating the matter.
