Now cheap electric auto is coming, Hyundai-TVS duo will create a stir in the market

Electric Three Wheeler India: The demand for electric vehicles is increasing rapidly in India and in view of this opportunity Hyundai Motor Company and TVS Motor Company Has taken a big step. Both the companies have decided to jointly develop a new electric three-wheeler (E3W) for the Indian market. For this, a joint development agreement has been signed between the two.

First glimpse was seen in Bharat Mobility Expo

The foundation of this partnership was laid when both the companies presented the prototype of their electric three-wheeler at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Many advanced features were seen in this model, which made it clear that this vehicle is being designed especially keeping the Indian customers and roads in mind.

Who will handle which work?

In this project, Hyundai will be responsible for the design of the vehicle. That means Hyundai will prepare the look, style and overall design of the vehicle. TVS will contribute to electric platform and three-wheeler technology based on its experience.

Also, TVS will be responsible for manufacturing and selling this electric three-wheeler in India. In future, this platform can also be used for export to the international market.

Will be prepared according to Indian roads

The companies claim that this E3W will be designed completely according to Indian conditions. It will have adjustable ground clearance for bad roads and advanced thermal management system for better performance in hot weather. Apart from this, this vehicle will have different interior options for passengers and cargo, due to which it can become a better means of earning.

Make in India will get a boost

  • In this project, most of the parts will be made in India only. This will reduce costs, strengthen the supply chain and make servicing easier.
  • According to Jungsun Ko, Senior Vice President, Hyundai, “This partnership is a major step towards increasing our participation in India’s transportation system.”
  • Sharad Mishra of TVS said, ‘This project will prove useful for India as well as other emerging markets.’

What will change for the common man?

The first electric three-wheeler to be developed from this partnership will be launched in India only. This will not only promote electric mobility, but will also provide an option for better earning at less expense. This can prove to be a big opportunity for middle class and small business owners.
