Kolkata. Describing the West Bengal Assembly elections as an opportunity to free the state from infiltrators, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power, one lakh jobs will be given to the youth every year on the basis of merit.

Addressing his second election rally of the day at Kulti, on the outskirts of Asansol and Barakar, the industrial hub of West Bardhaman, Shah said the BJP will restore the industrial identity of the country’s iron ore production hub and ensure employment for the local youth.

He said, Kulti was once the center of iron ore production in the country but the Mamata Banerjee led state government has ruined it. We will restore this iron city to its old identity, stop illegal mining, effectively stop the polluting ‘sponge iron’ production in the area and create employment opportunities for the local youth.

Accusing the Trinamool government of snatching jobs from qualified candidates and selling them to unqualified people, the Union Minister said, BJP promises that if it comes to power, it will provide employment to one lakh youth in Bengal every year on the basis of merit. Shah promised to make Bengal free from infiltrators if BJP comes to power in the state. The new government will also end the syndicates, mafia and goondaraj flourishing in the state.
