New Delhi . The political controversy has deepened over a statement by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. During the press conference in Chennai, he used objectionable words while commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP, to which BJP has given a strong reaction.
On Kharge’s statement, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra called it a well-planned conspiracy by Congress. He alleged that party leaders, especially Rahul Gandhi, are continuously using abusive language against the Prime Minister. Patra said that this is not a mistake, but a statement given as part of a strategy.
BJP leader Vinod Tawde also condemned Kharge’s comment, calling it a sign of unconstitutional mentality and demanded an apology from him.
However, after the controversy escalated, Kharge clarified that he did not mean to call the Prime Minister a terrorist, rather he was criticizing his working style. He alleged that the central government is putting pressure on the opposition parties by using investigative agencies.
