Patna. Bihar is in the grip of intense heat these days and the situation does not seem to be improving at the moment. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature is continuously increasing in many parts of the state and the effect of heat wave may intensify in the coming days.

Alert in 26 districts, advice to remain alert

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert in view of the heat wave-like situation in 26 districts of the state. In these areas, strong hot winds are expected to blow during the day and the temperature is expected to be between 40 to 44 degrees Celsius.

Trouble increased due to ‘warm night’

There are less chances of people getting relief not only during the day but also at night. According to the Meteorological Department, the situation of ‘warm night’ will persist, that is, the night temperature will also be higher than normal. Due to this, people are not getting a chance to recover from the heat and health related problems may increase.

The next two days will be more difficult

According to the forecast, the temperature may increase further in the next 48 hours. The mercury in the capital Patna is likely to reach 42 to 43 degrees Celsius. Although it may be slightly less than the maximum level so far this month, problems will remain due to humidity and hot winds.

Temperature near record in many places

In the last 24 hours, temperatures in many parts of the state were recorded above 43 degrees. The mercury remained highest in Dehri and surrounding areas, while at some places the temperature reached close to 45 degrees. On the other hand, the minimum temperature also remains above normal.
