Bengaluru Jail Lashkar Conspiracy: 7 years of imprisonment to 7 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists in the Bengaluru Jail case, this deep conspiracy was exposed in the NIA investigation.
Bengaluru. The special NIA court on Wednesday sentenced T. Naseer, the main conspirator on behalf of Lashkar-e-Taiba, and six others to 7 years of rigorous imprisonment in the Bengaluru jail radicalization case. A fine of Rs 48 thousand has also been imposed on all of them. All were found guilty of conspiring to recruit and train terrorists in Bengaluru jail. The names of other Lashkar operatives sentenced in this case are Mohammad Umar, Zahid Tabrez, Syed Suhail Khan, Salman Khan, Syed Mudassir Pasha and Mohammad Faizal Rabbani.

These Lashkar people had accepted the allegations made by NIA. T. Naseer was accused of conspiring with his associates to recruit and train terrorists in Parappanna Agrahara Central Jail, Bengaluru. NIA had accused all of them of recruiting, converting and radicalizing innocent youth. Their intention was to carry out terrorist incidents in India. The Central Crime Branch of Bengaluru Police had recovered weapons and digital devices etc. from the criminals in July 2023. Investigation revealed that these criminals had prepared a plan for a terrorist attack in Bengaluru.

After this information came to light, the responsibility of investigation was given to NIA. NIA busted a conspiracy to abscond T. Naseer, who was involved in many terrorist incidents and was serving life imprisonment, while taking him to court. Naseer was accused of serial blasts in Bengaluru in 2008. NIA filed charge sheet against the 11 arrested accused. His associate named Junaid Ahmed is absconding. At the same time, Salman Khan, who was found guilty, was extradited from Rwanda to India and arrested. Now after the sentencing by the NIA court, the conspiracy of these Lashkar operatives has been foiled. NIA is still searching for Junaid Ahmed.
