Singapore’s The Mind Cafe shutters flagship store after 21 years
Singapore’s board game and coffee shop The Mind Cafe will shut down its flagship store on May 23 after 21 years of service.
Operations, however, will be moved to a new “mega” outlet on the same Prinsep Street, according to its Instagram post.

“This has never just been a shop – it’s where friendships were formed over games of Monopoly, where first dates grew into lifelong partnerships, and where so many of you found a true home away from home.”
The managers described the new space as “leveling up,” noting that “This larger space is designed to bring our community together on a bigger scale, with more room, a wider selection of games, and an even better social gaming experience.”
Members of the public are encouraged to visit the flagship location before its final day. The company is also running a giveaway, offering four two-hour gaming sessions at the mega outlet.
The Mind Cafe describes itself as “Singapore’s widest collection board games cafe since 2005.”
