Raja Shivaji: Trailer of ‘Raja Shivaji’ appreciated by veterans; The audience got curious

The trailer of the much awaited historical film ‘Raja Shivaji’ produced by Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company has received huge response on social media as soon as it was released on 20th April. Actor, director and producer Riteish Deshmukh’s film is based on the life work of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the trailer has raised the expectations of the audience even more.

Adorned with magnificent visuals, powerful action and emotional setting, this trailer has created curiosity among the audience. Many veterans of Marathi and Hindi film industry have praised the trailer and wished the film well. Actor Akshay Kumar praised Riteish’s acting, writing and direction and wished the film a ‘blockbuster’. Producer Karan Johar responded as ‘Awesome’.

Director Nagraj Manjule praised the trailer saying ‘heartfelt congratulations’, while Aditya Sarpotdar described the film as grand and special. Veteran director Subhash Ghai expressed his belief that the experience of the film will be ‘magical’ after watching the trailer. Apart from this, Sonu Sood, Sonali Bendre, Siddharth Jadhav, Abhijeet Sawant, Kedar Shinde and Priya Bapat have also praised the trailer.

The film will feature a grand ensemble cast of Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Boman Irani, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi and Genelia Deshmukh. Ritesh Deshmukh has handled all the responsibilities of writing, directing and producing the film, with Jyoti Deshpande and Genelia Deshmukh involved in the production. The film ‘Raja Shivaji’ will be released in theaters worldwide on May 1, 2026 in Marathi and Hindi languages, and the audience will get a chance to experience the grand saga of Indian history on the big screen.
