Sensation in cricket world: 3 cricketers suspended for attack and attempt to murder coach, action taken with immediate effect

Cricket Association Of Pondicherry: Players are usually discussed on the cricket field regarding their performance and sporting skills, but this time a shocking incident has come to light from domestic cricket. Three first class players associated with Puducherry cricket team have been suspended after serious allegations were made against them. This case has shaken the entire cricket world.

Serious allegation of attack on coach

Puducherry Cricket Association has issued an order to suspend three players J Karthikeyan, A Aravindraj and S Santosh Kumaran with immediate effect. These players are accused of carrying out a fatal attack on state under-19 team coach Venkataraman. This incident is said to have happened in the month of December last year. All three players have represented Puducherry in Ranji Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Police investigation and serious injuries

According to the association’s press release, cases of attempt to murder and aggravated assault have been registered against the three players. In this case, the SHO of Sedurapet Police Station has filed a charge sheet under FIR 100/2025 and the case is currently pending in the Judicial Magistrate-IV Court of Puducherry. According to the police report, coach Venkataraman suffered serious injuries in the attack, requiring 20 stitches on his forehead and a fractured shoulder.

Banned from all facilities

The three suspended players are no longer allowed to enter any cricket campus. Apart from this, they cannot use any facilities of the state association nor can they participate in any domestic or foreign tournament. This suspension will remain in force until the court acquits him of all charges.

It is being told that this controversy started when the three players were not selected in the team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. After this they attacked the coach, due to which the matter took a serious turn. However, the three players still have the option to appeal to the State Cricket Association’s Ethics Officer or Ombudsman.
