The sales report for March 2026 clearly shows this trend. A total of 6,70,914 units of top-10 scooters were sold this month, which shows a huge annual increase of 29.61% as compared to 5,17,624 units in March 2025. This figure shows that now the inclination of middle class families is rapidly moving towards scooters.

Honda Activa again becomes number-1

Like every time, this time too Honda Activa was the best selling scooter in the country. In March 2026, it was purchased by 2,59,670 new customers. This is an impressive growth of 36.86% as compared to 1,89,735 units last year in March 2025. Reliable performance and low maintenance are its biggest strengths.

TVS Jupiter at second place

TVS Jupiter has also made a strong hold in terms of sales. Last month, this scooter was purchased by 1,24,771 people, which shows an increase of 17.89% as compared to 1,05,834 units last year. Comfortable ride and better mileage make it special.

Suzuki Access in third place

Suzuki Access also remains the choice of customers. It achieved sales of 72,658 units in March 2026, which is 9.49% more than last year’s 66,362 units. Its smooth engine and classic design is attracting the users.

Electric Scooter also moving forward fast

TVS iQube has made it to fourth place this time. It sold 38,757 units, which is a huge increase of 46.26% compared to last year. Bajaj Chetak also joined the top-5 with sales of 34,416 units, registering a growth of 18.75%.

Great sales of other scooters too

Apart from the top-5, TVS Ntorq (32,598 units), Honda Dio (31,180 units), Suzuki Burgman (26,889 units), Yamaha RayZR (25,798 units) and Hero Destiny (24,177 units) also saw good sales. Due to which there has been a difference in Scooter Sales.

Why is the popularity of scooters increasing?
