2026 Renault Duster Vs New Kia Seltos: Detailed Comparison On Video

The detailed video comparing the 2026 Duster and the 2026 Seltos has come courtesy of Only Cars 22 on their channel. It starts off with the vlogger mentioning that these two are the top-of-the-line variants and then states the pricing. He highlights that the Kia Seltos starts at Rs 10.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 19.99 lakh. Meanwhile, the 2026 Renault Duster starts at a lower price of Rs 10.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.69 lakh.

Soon after this, he starts talking about the powertrain options of these SUVs. He starts with the Seltos and mentions that it comes offered with three engine options, including a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, 1.5-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel. It also gets multiple gearbox options, including a 6-speed manual, IVT, CVT, DCT, and a torque converter automatic.

On the other hand, the Renault Duster is also offered with three engine options. However, its approach is different, as it is offered with only turbo petrol engines. The first is the 1.0-litre turbo petrol, then there is the 1.3-litre turbo petrol, and lastly, there is a 1.8-litre turbo petrol with a strong hybrid system.

He mentions that the 1.3-litre engine is the same as the lower spec Mercedes Benz CLA sedan and GLA SUV. Also, the 1.8-litre strong hybrid powertrain will be launched around Diwali this year. What makes the Duster even more special is that the 1.3-litre engine makes 163 PS and 280 Nm of torque, which makes it the most powerful mid-size SUV in India.

Following this, he then starts showing the exterior design of the Seltos. He mentions that it comes equipped with very unique and stylish-looking LED DRLs and LED headlights, with a black chrome front grille, LED fog lights, and a sharp front bumper. Meanwhile, the Duster gets a much more aggressive and rugged-looking fascia, with sleeker LED headlights, a silver skid plate, and an overall utilitarian design. He adds that both get front parking sensors and Level 2 ADAS.

On the side profile, he highlights that the Seltos gets flush-type door handles, a sleeker silhouette, 18-inch alloy wheels, and four disc brakes. Meanwhile, the Duster also gets 18-inch alloy wheels, unique Duster badging on the front fenders, chunky skid plates in matte black (Kia Seltos offers gloss black claddings), and functional roof rails. The Duster, however, misses out on the four disc brakes. Rather, it gets only front disc brakes.

Moving to the rear, he mentions both SUVs get connected LED taillights, a reverse camera, and multiple parking sensors. However, due to the steeper departure angle on the Duster, it looks more off-road-ready. Meanwhile, the Seltos, on the other hand, looks sleeker and more modern and suited for urban usage.

It comes with dual 12.3-inch screens, a smaller screen for the dual-zone automatic climate control, a wireless charging pad, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, and many others.
