Hell-Hole Controversy: US President Donald Trump first called India the gateway to hell, now took a U-turn and said – PM Modi is my best friend.

New Delhi. US President Donald Trump praised India on Thursday after the Hell-Hole controversy. He said India was being led by a ‘very good friend’. Christopher Elms, a spokesman for the US Embassy in New Delhi, said the Republican leader spoke very well about India, calling it a great country and saying he has a personal friendship with the Indian leader.

President Trump said that India is a great country, at the top of which I have a very good friend. This statement of Trump has come after the Hell-Hole controversy. A day earlier, Trump had reposted a racist comment from the podcast of American political commentator and radio host Michael Savage, in which he had called India, China and other countries hell holes.
