IPL 2026: Sanju Samson’s century, Chennai Super Kings set the target of 207 runs for Mumbai Indians.

Chennai. On the basis of the explosive century innings of Sanjusaiman (101 not out), Chennai Super Kings scored a huge score of 207 runs for six wickets against Mumbai Indians on Thursday. Here today Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl first. Coming to bat, M Ghazanfar gave the first blow to Chennai Super Kings by dismissing captain Ruturaj Gaikwad in the third over.

Rituraj Gaikwad scored 22 runs in 14 balls, hitting three fours and a six. Mitchell Santner dismissed Sarfaraz Khan (14) in the sixth over. After this, Chennai Super Kings batsmen could not last long in front of the aggressive performance of Mumbai bowlers and kept losing their wickets. Shivam Dubey (five), Dewald Brevis (21), Karthik Sharma (18) and Jamie Overton (15) were out after scoring runs.

However, during this time, Sanjusaiman kept scoring runs while holding one end. Chennai Super Kings scored a challenging score of 208 runs for six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Sanju Samson played an unbeaten inning of 101 runs in 54 balls, hitting 10 fours and six sixes. This is Sanju Samson’s second century in this series and fifth century overall in IPL. AM Ghazanfar and Ashwini Kumar took two wickets each for Mumbai Indians. Jasprit Bumrah and Mitchell Santner dismissed one batsman each.
