A mountain of sorrow fell on Mukesh Choudhary
CSK shared the news of the demise of Mukesh Chaudhary’s mother by sharing a post on social media. According to media reports, Mukesh Chaudhary’s mother Prem Devi was suffering from a serious illness for almost a year. He was undergoing treatment at Tata Hospital in Mumbai.

After the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday, Mukesh Chaudhary immediately left for Bhilwara, Rajasthan. Mukesh Choudhary and his elder brother Dr. Rajesh Choudhary performed the last rites of their mother in the presence of close family members in their hometown.
CSK players wore black bands
After performing the last rites of his mother, Mukesh Chaudhary returned to the CSK camp and today is also a part of the playing XI in the match against Mumbai Indians. CSK shared a condolence post for Mukesh Chaudhary’s mother on social media and wrote,
“This is for Mukesh’s mother. In her memory and in solidarity with Mukesh, today we are playing with black bands on our arms and there is more passion in our hearts today.”
Mukesh Choudhary’s IPL career
Mukesh Chaudhary has been with CSK since 2022. His IPL debut was in 2022. That season, he made headlines by taking 16 wickets in 13 matches. Since that season, he has not got a chance to play much due to injuries and availability of other players. After 2022, he has been able to play only 4 matches. Chaudhary has been able to play only 1 match in IPL 2026 in which he has taken 2 wickets.
