Sanjay Dutt will become ‘Ballu’ again, announcement of ‘Khalnayak Returns’, curiosity increased among the audience

The popular character ‘Ballu’ from the famous 1993 film ‘Khalnayak’ is now going to return to the big screen once again. Actor Sanjay Dutt officially announced his new film ‘Khalnayak Returns’ during a recently held event. This film is being said to be a new version of the original film, which created a distinct identity among the audience in the 90s.

Sanjay Dutt told that his company Three Dimension Motion Pictures and Aksha Kamboj’s Aspect Entertainment have jointly acquired the rights of the film from filmmaker Subhash Ghai and his company Mukta Arts.

A short teaser of the film was also shown in the program, in which Sanjay Dutt was seen in a new and powerful style of his famous character ‘Ballu’. On this occasion, the actor also thanked Subhash Ghai for the legacy of the film.

The actor revealed that the idea for the film came to him when he was serving a sentence in jail. He told that there he had asked many prisoners whether they would like to see the return of the ‘villain’.

According to Sanjay, the positive response of thousands of prisoners inspired him to take this story forward. Later he shared this idea with Subhash Ghai, who supported taking it forward.

At present, the makers have not clarified whether ‘Khalnayak Returns’ will be a direct sequel to the original film or will emerge as its reimagining. The story of the film has been kept completely confidential.

Sanjay Dutt has also roped in Jyoti Deshpande for the creative direction of this project. After the announcement of the film, curiosity about it has increased a lot among the audience.
