According to the Delhi Capitals, their fast bowler Lungi Ngidi, who suffered a head injury in the IPL 2026 match against the Punjab Kings, is stable and will be discharged shortly from the hospital. He was injured while trying to take Priyansh Arya’s catch on the third ball of the third over in the second innings of the contest.
His head hit the ground, and he was unable to move, leading to medical attention from the physio. However, his condition seemed serious, and the ambulance was called to the field to take him to the nearby medical facility. There was a long delay as the doctors and the support staff adopted a careful approach before lifting him up on the stretcher to take the speedster towards the ambulance.
