Ipl 2026 Kl Rahul And Nitish Unleash A Storm Delhi Sets A Target Of 265 Runs For Pbks

Delhi Capitals (DC) have set a huge target of 265 runs to win against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 35th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday. The pair of KL Rahul and Nitish Rana were instrumental in helping DC reach the huge score, who made a partnership of 220 runs for the second wicket.

After winning the 7th consecutive toss this season amid a temperature of 41.9 degrees Celsius, Delhi Capitals captain Akshar Patel decided to bat first. DC got its first blow in the form of Pathum Nissanka in 2.4 overs. Nissanka returned to the pavilion after scoring just 11 runs in 7 balls with 2 fours. Till that time only 28 runs could be added to the team’s account.

From here, KL Rahul along with Nitish Rana made a partnership of 220 runs in 95 balls for the second wicket and put the team in a strong position. Nitish returned to the pavilion after scoring 91 runs in 44 balls with 4 sixes and 11 fours.

After this David Miller took charge with KL Rahul. Both the players made an unbroken partnership of 16 runs in 9 balls, taking Delhi Capitals to the highest score in its IPL history.

KL Rahul remained unbeaten after scoring 152 runs in 67 balls with 9 sixes and 16 fours. With this, KL became the Indian to play the biggest innings in IPL history. David Miller added 3 unbeaten runs in 3 balls to his account. DC scored 264 runs losing 2 wickets in 20 overs. For Punjab Kings, Xavier Bartlett and Arshdeep Singh got 1-1 success.
